Questions from today's show centered around Supt salaries in Midland.  Here's a few quick quotes from the MRT regarding the terms of former Supt Perez...:

Perez, who make $236,000 annually, started with MISD Dec. 1, 2006. He was superintendent of San Marcos Consolidated Independent School District from July 1, 2002-Nov. 30, 2006. He also has served as superintendent at Mathis Independent School District in Mathis and Clint Independent School District in the El Paso area for six years.

Midland Independent School District trustees on Tuesday unanimously approved hiring Ryder Warren as the new superintendent.

The current superintendent of Marble Falls Independent School District, Warren will replace Superintendent Sylvester Perez as of July 1 and make $225,000 annually. The contract runs from July 1 through June 30, 2013. As Marble Falls superintendent, Warren, 42, makes $165,800.

Perez makes $240,000 a year. Warren and his wife, Jill, attended the meeting for the contract signing.
