Cindy Nutter wants you to believe that she is the responsible adult in this conversation regarding her job performance. Yet, a couple of days ago I posted an email exchange wherein sh admits after almost 3 years in office she still didn't know that she is both a sitting member of the Bail Bond Board and is ALSO the legal representative of the Board. Yet, I am bringing to your attention ANOTHER (and many more to come) instance where she is clearly acting improperly or outright avoiding dealing with a problem brought to her attention numerous times.
Again, it deals with the spending of taxpayers dollars. I am awaiting the answers to questions sent to the purchasing agent and County Auditor regarding the extent of this problem. However, as you will see in 2 of the email exchanges below the Ector County Purchasing Agent is imploring Nutter to submit the required documentation for purchases made with her County Purchasing Card. Her answer to the problem: Have her (then) assistant CALL the Purchasing Agent and cancel the card. What does Cindy Nutter NOT want taxpayers to see in those receipts? With no receipts my understanding of county policy is that the amounts not covered by receipts must be deducted from the purchaser's payroll check. So, are you as a taxpayer OK with an elected official taking liberties with the "taxpayers credit card" and possible purchasing campaign or personal items? Ultimately, she had to pay for them, but her presuming to use the credit of the taxpayer to float herself an interest free loan is unconscionable. This is made even worse by the fact that she had to be hounded over 3 months to make it right.

Cindy, I need your P-Card receipts, statement and transaction log for October. This is the 3rd request for this information. November’ s statement should also be to you by this Friday the 9th of Dec. Please try to be attentive to the due dates and submit your information in a timely manner. I have not seen any interest charged to your account as of being 60 days old, but late payments do have a large affect on our rebates.
